Kenneth White Obituary

Kenneth Richard White, Sr. of New Oxford passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025 at the age of 94. He was the loving husband of the late Mary Louise White with whom he shared 64 years of marriage prior to her passing. He is survived by his children Kenneth (Dick) White Jr. (Wendy), Barbara Morris (Bob), Kathy Bidinger, Steven White (Julie), Patti Zentz (Jerry), Karen Kehr (Dave), Brian White and a brother, Donald White. He has 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Ken lived a very full, long life. Known to many as Ken, Rich, Richard, Reds or Whitey, he touched many lives in his 94 years. In addition to being a wonderful husband to Mary, the love of his life, and raising 7 children he always found time to give back to his community. At a very young age Ken coached a team of men in football not much younger than himself. He continued to coach football and baseball for the Reisterstown Rec Council for many years. He also umpired. Ken impacted many young lives in his coaching days. During the 60's Ken and his family were very involved with the Starlighters, a drum and bugle corps from Westminster. Ken played an integral part of the drum corps success for several years. After his retirement from C&P Telephone Company in the early 90's, Ken and Mary moved to Florida. They spent 10 years in The Villages before moving back to Littlestown to be near their children and grand-children. Ken and Mary lived in Littlestown until Mary developed Alzheimer's and Ken could no longer care for her at home. Mary passed in 2015 in New Hope Brethren Home in New Oxford PA. Ken moved there to be near her in her final days. Ken passed away at the Brethren Home. To know Ken White was to love him. He was a true family man in every sense of the word. He will be deeply missed. Celebration of Ken's Life will be held on Saturday May 31, 2025, 11:00 AM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Littlestown PA. Visitors will be received beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service. To share memories of Kenneth Richard White, Sr., please visit www.littlesfh.com.
