Nicholas Attick Obituary
Nicholas L. "NICK" Attick, age 90, of Eldersburg, MD, formerly of Danbury, CT, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Fairhaven Health Care Center, Sykesville, MD. Born December 6, 1924, in Danbury, CT he was the son of the late Louis Attick and the late Mary Shadeed. He was the loving husband of Dorothy P. Attick of Eldersburg, his wife of 57 years. Nick had retired as a supervisor from Barden Precision Bearings. He was a graduate of Danbury High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army, 10th Airborne Mountain Infantry Division, where he served in Italy during WWII. Nick enjoyed woodworking and going to Merritt Athletic Club in Eldersburg. Nick had played for the former, Danbury Bull Dogs, a semi professional football team. Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law; Mark D. Byrnes and Susan Lankford-Byrnes of NJ; daughter and son-in-law, Doreen and Vincent Spinoso of Eldersburg and grandchildren; Drew, John "Spin", Zak and Bridgette. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Foundation or to the Veterans Administration. Online condolences may be offered at www.haightfuneralhome.com
