Patrick Murphy

Patrick "Sean" Murphy Jr, age 35 of Gettysburg, PA died suddenly October 22, 2024 due to injuries sustained in an accident. Born April 13, 1989 in Westminster, he was the son of Lisa and Randy Huber of Union Bridge and Patrick Murphy Sr., of Keymar. He was the husband of Ellie Murphy, his high school sweetheart, married for 10 years. Sean was a 2007 graduate of North Carroll High school and was as a union Electrician with IBEW Local 24, currently working for Brown & Heim, Inc. at Northrop Grumman in Sykesville, MD. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, diesel trucks, avid music lover of outlaw country music, punk, and heavy metal and loved being outdoors. Most of all, he loved his daughters, they were the light of his life. He enjoyed teaching them new things. He was his family's protector; he loved his family dearly. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are daughters Brianna and Bailey Murphy of Gettysburg, brother Ryan Murphy of Taneytown, step-sisters Jaime Huber and Melissa Olazagasti and husband Carlos, a nephew Isaac, niece Maya, and grandmothers Mildred Hirschmann of Union Bridge and Joanne Stern of Maidens, VA. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, extended family and many friends. He is now reunited with his grandfather and best friend Charles R. Hirschmann, III, who passed in February this year. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
