Richard Dutterer

Richard "Dick" Dutterer, age 84, of Manchester MD, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Linda Lee Dutterer, who preceded him in death just nineteen days earlier, on September 12, 2022. They would have celebrated their sixty-fourth anniversary on October 4, 2022. Born on July 25, 1938, in Westminster MD, Richard Allen Dutterer was the son of the late Elting and Effie Dutterer. He is survived by his adored sister, Nancy Bosley. He was a beloved Father to his children, Terri (Mark) Ausfresser, Steve (Wendy) Dutterer, Pam (Rob) Roberson, Rocky (Carl) Kemp, and Stacey (Brent) Skeen. A loving Pappy to his grandchildren, Levi, Laurie, Sarah, Kristi, Trinity; and 4 great-grandchildren. The simplest pleasures in life brought him joy. Richard enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, antique cars, holidays, and family meals. In his retirement years, he enjoyed drinking cups of coffee in his recliner and watching television, especially wrestling and football. Richard attended Westminster High School and joined the Army in 1956. He was a hard worker and had various jobs in his lifetime, but primarily in the dry-cleaning business. He previously owned and operated Quality Cleaners and BP Gas Station, both in Westminster, MD. He enjoyed retirement by spending time with his dear wife and family.
