Robert Edward Blank Sr.

Robert Edward Blank, 87, of Silver Run passed away January 18, 2025 at home. Born July 30, 1937 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Delia Naomi (Flickinger) Blank and Preston C. W. Blank, Sr.. Robert is the loving husband of Delores Patricia Blank nee Overholtzer, his wife of 67 years; devoted father of Debra L. Martin and her husband Larry of Silver Run; Diane L. Saunders and her husband Robert of Taneytown; Dorothy L. Hare of Biglerville, PA; Robert E. Blank, Jr. and his wife Deb of Silver Run; and Dawn L. Stine of Everett, PA. Robert will be deeply missed by his 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. He is survived by siblings Elizabeth Stonesifer, Dorothy Feeser, Helen Muller, Doris Stull, Rebecca Green, and John Blank. He was predeceased by grandson Doug C. Saunders and son-in-law Michael Hare, as well as loved ones Nevah Eckard, Calvin Blank, Preston Blank, Jr., Shirley Stull, and Margaret Zepp. Robert was a lifelong farmer, having retired from Bachman Valley Farms. He also previously farmed for A. W. Feeser and Dave Shaw. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and his daily routine with his chickens. He was also an enthusiastic fan of wrestling. The family will receive friends, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025 and 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown (21787) where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday.
