Robert "Bob" Cook

Robert Bruce Cook, age 73, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gretchen, daughter Kirsten Smith and husband Tyler, son Jesse Cook and wife Karlie, four wonderful grandchildren, brother Douglas Cook and wife Lynn, brother Richard Cook and wife Bonnie, as well as nephews Adam, Matthew, Shaun, niece Julie and their families. Bob was born in Brooklyn, NY to parents Walter Cook and Arleen May Lester Cook on April 19, 1952. After moving to Towson, MD, Bob became an avid fan of the Baltimore Colts with a very special admiration for Johnny Unitas. Bob was also a competent athlete in his own right. In later years, he discovered golf and became certified as a USGTF instructor. After a career in transportation logistics, Bob was able to slow down and enjoy his other hobbies - studying the Civil War, World War II, making miniatures and enjoying the nature he was surrounded by daily. Above all, Bob was a man of faith who loved the Lord and attempted to serve Him in whatever way he was able. Viewing will be held Friday, August 15 at Pritts Funeral Home from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 at Kirkridge Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2236 Old Fort Schoolhouse Road, Hampstead, MD 21074.
