Robert Godfrey Obituary

Robert "Bob" D. Godfrey, Jr., 57, of Hanover, passed away on January 28, 2024, after a hard fight with Glioblastoma at the Dove House in Westminster. Born September 1, 1966, he was the son of Robert D. Godfrey, Sr., and the late Hilda (Haines) Godfrey. Bob was a simple man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid supporter of the NRA. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Miami Dolphins. When Bob wasn't outdoors, he could be found fixing anything that was broken, often being nicknamed "Bob the Builder". He spent many a days fixing his daughters cars. Most of all, Bob loved his family and especially supporting his children. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, Brandon and Andrew. Bob would frequently be found on the sidelines of a soccer game, coaching his daughter, Emmy, to a victory. He could still be found on the sidelines, this time watching his grandson play. In addition to his father, Bob is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Godfrey; children, Brandon Godfrey, Emily Godfrey and significant other, Mason, Andrew Dean and significant other, Angie, and Courtney Ebaugh and husband, Dustin; grandchildren, Declan and Ivy Ebaugh, and Adalyn and Lucas Dean; siblings, Kimberly Godfrey and Brian Godfrey; nephew, Christopher Bloom; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends and family are invited to gather at Pritts Funeral Home, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, on Sunday, February 4, from 1 to 2pm, and 5 to 7pm. A memorial service will take place beginning at 2:00 pm. Bob will be laid to rest with his mother in Woodlawn Cemetery, Baltimore, on Monday, February 5th, at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions can be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation, P.O.Box 62066 Durham, NC 27715. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.prittsfuneralhome.com
