Robert Samuel Herb Jr.

Robert Samuel Herb Jr (Red Bird), 74, of Westminster, MD passed away on Monday September 30, 2024 at Bridging Life Dove House. Born on February 7, 1950, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Samuel Herb Sr. and Mary Dolores Herb. He was the husband of Kay Marie Herb for over 50 years. Robert was a graduate of Westminster High School in 1969. In his earlier years, he was an antique dealer and owned a local shop with his father. He had an extreme passion and talent for finding great quality unique furniture pieces to restore and bring back to life. He then moved on to obtaining his tractor trailer license and owning his own trucking business traveling throughout the entire east coast. In his later years, he owned his own painting and contracting business, R.S Herb Painting Company. Robert loved playing and watching sports, especially the Baltimore Ravens. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and enjoying a great cup of coffee. His grandchildren were the absolute light of his life. Robert will be deeply missed by many. Surviving in addition to his wife, are daughters Stacie Alisea of Westminster, Holly Herb (Andy Ireland) of Hampstead, grandchildren Lexie Herb, Reese Ireland, Matthew and Lily Alisea. He is also survived by ex-son in law Tim Alisea and lifelong friends John Doukas and wife Tonja of Westminster The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 2-4 & 6-8 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 9 2024 at 11am. Burial will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s.
