Robert Alan Swann, Jr., age 45, of Woodsboro, died tragically on Friday, November 2, 2018 in Frederick County. Born on March 2, 1973 in Baltimore County, he was survived by his father, Robert Alan Swann, Sr. and wife DeAnna Marie; and mother, Nicki Lee Waltemeyer Swann and partner Harry I. Liebig, Jr.Rob was a graduate of South Carroll High School and a 1997 graduate of the New England Tractor Trailer School, Inc. He was the successful owner and operator of Swann Jr. Trucking in Frederick, MD for many years. He lived as a man of honor, generous beyond words. He was an avid hunter and deep sea fisherman and loved his boating. Either driving his truck or riding his HARLEY, Rob loved the road. At home Rob was never without a project, if he wasn't under a vehicle or in his garage you could usually find him working in the yard. All would agree Rob had an infectious laugh, a kind spirit and a great love of family and friends. Rob will be missed by all!Surviving in addition to his parents are daughter and son-in-law, Sara Elizabeth Swann and David Brian Dolt; step-daughter, Chelsea Warner; former spouse of 20 years, Kristine Lowe-Swann, grandchildren, Annabelle, Clayton and Colton Swann; grandmother, Anna Wills Swann; sister, Michelle Lee Swann Wroten; and niece, Brianna N. Wroten.A memorial service celebrating the honor of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 2pm-6pm where food will be served at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784.In lieu of flowers, the family would be deeply grateful for donations to be made to the Make A Wish Foundation. Every year Rob and our local trucking industry makes an annual convoy to raise funds for this amazing organization.
