Steve L. Ferguson

Steve Lawrence Ferguson, 69, of Westminster passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his residence. He was born on August 10, 1946, in Elkins, West Virginia and was the son of the late Elmer Ferguson and the late Grace Ferguson (nee Sawyer). He was the loving husband of Lina Ferguson (nee Crumbacker) for 46 years. Steve was a graduate of Sparrows Point High and served in the Air Force from 1964 to 1968. He was employed at Gould, Inc. before moving on to Long and Foster where he worked as a Realtor for 22 years. From 2011 to 2012 he served as President of the Carroll County Association of Realtors. He was an active member of Westminster Baptist Church where he served for many years as the church's Sunday School director and chairman of the building committee. He also enjoyed planning and tending to his vegetable garden. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons Joshua and Gabriel Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Ferguson. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, MD 21157. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Westminster Baptist Church, 354 Crest Ln, Westminster, MD 21157 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Pipe Creek Cemetery.
