Tamara Stonesifer Obituary



Tamara Ann Stonesifer, 54, of Taneytown, Maryland died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at her home. Born November 24, 1959 in Lexington, VA, she was the daughter of Alfred and Nancy Smith of Catonsville. She was the wife of Wilbur Stonesifer, to whom she was married for 25 years. Tamara was a receptionist at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown, where she was employed for ten years. She enjoyed shopping, spending time outdoors, and being with her family and her many animals. She also enjoyed collecting Seraphim angels. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by daughter, Samantha Howard and husband Shawn of Westminster; son, Joshua Stonesifer and wife Jennifer of Hanover, PA; and grandchildren, Camden and Jason Howard, and Robert and Riley Stonesifer. Tamara's family will receive friends for a time of visitation and viewing from 5-8 p.m. Monday, October 6 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St, Taneytown, MD. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the MD SPCA (Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals,) 3300 Falls Rd, Baltimore, MD, 21211 or to Johns Hopkins Children's Center, 600 N. Wolfe St, Baltimore, MD, 21287. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.myersdurborawfh.com.
