Virginia Richardson Obituary



Virginia Ruth Richardson, 91, of Olney, died Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Dove House. Born July 16, 1926 in Derry, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Maude Heil. She was the loving wife of the late William M. Richardson, Jr. Before retiring she worked for the Montgomery County Board of Education. She was a doll and toy maker. She also did antique doll restoration and worked at the Washington Doll and Toy Museum. She is survived by her children William M. Richardson, III, of South River, Clifford A. Richardson and wife Carol, of Westminster, 2 grandchildren Brooke Parks and husband Josh, of Westminster, Brady Richardson, of Charlotte, N.C., great-grandson Steele Parks, nieces Sandra and Jane from Dallas, TX. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main Street, Westminster, with Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD. Memorial contribution may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157
