Walter Connolly Obituary
Walter William Connolly, 86, of Reisterstown, died Monday, June 17, 2013, in Timonium.
Born Jan. 13, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Walter W. Connolly and Agnes Marie McLean Connolly. He was the husband of Kathleen Ann Carney Connolly, who died in 1996.
He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1945, in Toledo. He was an industrial salesman for Bearings Inc.
He was a life member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, active in church activities, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Reisterstown Recreation Council and the Rec Council Christmas Tree Sales, manager and commissioner of Rec Council Little League. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Golf League and Local Thursday Golf "Putts & Such."
Surviving are children and spouses Mark and Debora Connolly, Diane and Christopher Martindale, Maureen Connolly Melvin and Rick Melvin, Kathleen Connolly, and Kevin and Robin Connolly; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Jane Marie Connolly; and sisters Dorothy Connolly and Catherine Adams.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Sacred Heart School, P.O. Box 3672, Glyndon, MD 21071.

I am so sorry to hear of Walt's passing. He was a sweet, wonderful man, devoted to Kathy and their family. Walt always had a smile and kind word for you. I knew Walt well through many years of working with Kathy; many great memories of both! Please accept my deepest sympathy.
