Wayne Charles Benner

Wayne Charles Benner, age 81, of Gettysburg, PA, died on Friday, February 16, 2024. Born February 26, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles and Doris (Gray) Benner. He was the devoted husband to Beverly (Choyce) Benner. Wayne enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. He loved attending auctions to purchase antique furniture that he would refinish and then resell at local antique shops. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife Beverly are; daughter, Bronwyn Conaway and husband Scott of Finksburg, MD; son, Brendan Benner and wife Roxanne of Mt. Holly Springs, PA; grandchildren Logan Welsh, Nathan Welsh, Emily Benner; step grandchildren, Aspen Conaway, Lindsay Bartolotta and husband Brandon, Alex Weltmer and wife Sydney; step great-grandchildren, Jackson and Olivia; brother Barry Benner and wife Linda of Westminster, MD. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Nancy Burns. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 6-8 pm, at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Wayne's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 502 Washington Avenue, Suite 300, Towson, MD 21204.
