Hazel Cain Obituary

Hazel Nellie Cain, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021, at Liberty Care and Rehab. She was 102.
Born on Sept. 19, 1918, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Robert Tyler and Anna Terry Cain. Hazel was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed flowers and was an avid UK basketball and Tiger Woods fan.
She is survived by two daughters, Candy Wesley of Rural Hall, North Carolina and Vivian Chitwood of Williamstown; a half-brother, Tony Cain of Tennessee; ten grandchildren, Scott Chitwood, Ricky Chitwood, Mike Chitwood, Becky Allen, Ron Allen, Vicki Ravencraft, Jessica Fergueron, Taren Douglas, Natalie Wesley Russell, and Babette Clay; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Louis Cain; two daughters, Regina Frank and Peggy Allen; a son, Dennis Douglas; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Mills; two sisters, Zela Durham and Angie Douglas; and four brothers, Roscoe Cain, Walter Cain, Coy Cain, and Fred Cain.
The funeral service was held at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Cameron Cain officiating. Burial followed in Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset.
The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
