Bruce A. Borst, age 77,

Bruce was born on July 30, 1946, in Grand Coulee, Washington, to Paul Henry Borst and Edna Bonita Leonard. Bruce graduated from Coulee High School and proudly served in the United States Navy from October 9, 1964, to November 8, 1968, during the Vietnam War as an electrical engineer. After his service, he married Kari and together they raised their son Tyson and daughter Shawna.

Bruce married the love of his life, Evadyne M. Cardoza, on August 26, 1995. Bruce worked hard as he pursued a career working with various companies including his Dad's Gravel pit, Trucking in Spokane, Players and Spectators and working for the Highway District in Post Falls. He was a vibrant member of his community, actively participating in organizations such as the American Legion and the Eagles. He was known for his love of bowling, hunting, fishing, yard work, and travel. No one was a stranger to Bruce; his warmth, laughter, and mischievous spirit touched the lives of many. He lived a full life marked by determination, compassion, and adventure, leaving behind countless stories and cherished memories. Bruce passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, with his beloved wife and her kids by his side.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Edna Borst, and his brothers, Phil and Doug Borst. He is survived by his wife, Evadyne Borst; his son, Tyson Borst of Nine Mile Falls, WA; his daughter, Shawna Chaney of Chattaroy, WA; granddaughters, Chelsea Borst of Spokane, WA, Alexia Borst of Chaney, WA, Geneva Borst of Spokane, WA; great-grandchildren Mira Jade and Camden Borst of Spokane, WA; stepsons Arnold Morgado of Twin Falls, ID, step daughter Dyna Carlson of Post Falls, ID, Anthony Morgado and wife Keri of Coeur D'Alene, ID; step-granddaughter Alicia Medford of Spokane, WA; step-grandson Micheal Morgado of Nevada; step-grandsons Ellion, Aiden, and Issac Medford of Spokane, WA; and step-granddaughter Liliana Medford of Spokane, WA; his sister-in-law, Mary Borst; Cousins Mary Anne Borst, Martha Sue and Perry Brown and childhood friends Jeannie Hickey and Paul Miller.

At Bruce's request, there will be no formal service; instead, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. He will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
