Mr Denny was the best teacher that I´ve ever had and he helped me so much in 6th grade. He was caring, funny and tough. He termed me as fickle (which I had to look up in the dictionary). I have the most wonderful memories from my time in Mr Dennys class. He and Margies niche is close to my Moms and I visit it each time that I go to visit my Mom at the cemetery. How lucky many of us were to know Curt Denny.

So sorry to hear Curt has passed. He is with Margie now.
My story is he worked for my mom & dad in Wayzata, MN.
When I was 14 in 1958 my mother and I went to CA. to see my grandmother. We rode out with Curt and then took a bus to southern CA. On the way through Nebraska he said to me "Do not turn around", of course being a 14 year old I did not listen. I turned around and there was a police officer behind us. I guess Curt had been going a little fast. We got STOPPED!!! I had lunch with him a couple of years ago when I passed through Coure d'Alene. So happy I did. We had a very nice visit. We shared that memory and laughed. RIP Curt & Margie.

I too had Mr Denny as a teacher at CHS. I graduated college with a degree in computer science, started a software company, and only now can look back and understand, appreciate, and posthumously thank him for bringing his skills to elementary education. Thank you Mr Denny.

He was one of my most favorite teachers and most memorable. Loved the way he taught science! I still love science to this day.
