Devin Craig Berkhousen, 54

Devin was born at Chatham Airforce Base, New Brunswick, Canada, March 5, 1970 as the fifth and youngest child of Gary and Lois Berkhousen. The family returned home to the United States that same year, to Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, when he was 6 months old. In 1977, (age 7) the family moved to Happy Valley, Blanchard, Idaho. It was here that Devin grew up in his forever home and experienced great adventures with his many lifelong friends. After high school, Devin was a moving spirit and left for his life's journey. He traveled to Alaska and worked on the Artic Tundra, off to Arizona to work on the highways and to Los Angles, California, joining the union of the Motion Picture Industry. He graduated to visual effects on movie sets of: Armageddon (1998) Casper Meets Wendy (1998) and Teenage Caveman (2002)



Through his love of music, he was a talented guitar player and enjoyed jamming with anyone, anywhere, anytime. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowboarding, skateboarding, mountain biking and hiking. One year he ventured alone into Joshua Tree National Park, California, for what he called a spiritual awakening. Eventually, Devin returned home to North Idaho and pursed training as a building inspector. He quickly decided he preferred working on his own schedule and started his own successful pallet and restoration business. Devin was very special in his own way. He met people openly, wherever you were in your own life path, he was there too. His charming, mischievous smile and nervous laugh will be greatly missed.



As he meets his parents in heaven, he leaves behind four siblings. Tina Jeffrey (Jon), Brenda Berkhousen (Darren Orr), Douglas Berkhousen and Holly Miller (Jack) and many nieces and nephews and his son Julien Sathers. Per his request, his ashes will be spread on Mt Hoo Doo outside of Blanchard, Idaho at a time still to be determined
