Dick Adams Obituary

Dick Adams, 72

Richard "Dick" Elliott Adams age 72, died at home in Athol, Idaho of natural causes on April 28, 2024. Dick was born in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho to Richard & Elsie Adams on October 6, 1951. Dick was the youngest of three growing up in Post Falls, where he attended Post Falls schools graduating in 1969. Dick was an avid pitcher for Babe Ruth Baseball growing up, where he received notoriety for only losing one game. He was a gifted Yamaha motorcycle racer, Chevelle drag racer/street racer, and 4 wheel drive enthusiast and was well known for having the big yellow Chevy lifted truck. Dick had a gift for being an amazing target shooter, trophy winning trap shooter, and archer. He had a love for hunting, fishing, billiards, and anything outdoors. Dick

had a sense of humor like no other and was always pulling pranks at other peoples expense. Dick is survived by his wife, Tonnya Adams, of Hayden, and his sisters, Dotty Dean (Mark Dean) of Boise, Idaho, and Ginger Keopple of Post Falls.



He is also survived by the mother of his children, Diane Adams of Olympia, Washington, his children, Todd Adams (Jenn Adams) of Olympia, Washington, Dustin Adams (Kim Adams) of Elma, Washington, Tara Kim (KC Kim) of Lacey, Washington, and step children, Sara Chase (Tom Chase) of Rathdrum, and Bryce Oakes (Collene Oakes) of Athol. Dick had 5 nephews, 16 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorial service to be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d' Alene on July 27, 2024 at 11am. Grave side service to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls. Reception to follow at Templin's on the River in Post Falls.
