Miriam Nancy Funk

1946 - 2024

Miriam Nancy Funk, 77, of Elkton, MD passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Born in Elkton on July 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary Huber Farmer.

Miriam was an animal lover who enjoyed their farm and feeding her chickens, guineas, peacocks, hens, cats, and dogs. She especially loved saving treats for and talking to Carson. She also enjoyed her flowers and birds. Miriam was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, visiting, and lunching with friends, drawing/sketching and, of late, Amazon shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her sister, Pat, and with her children, grandchildren, and most recently, with her great-grandson, Kian.

Survivors include her loving husband of over 59 years, William Funk, Sr.; children, William Funk, Jr., Frances Green, and Dale Petty; son-in-law, John Green; grandchildren, William Funk, III, Meagan Andreatch (Steve), Victoria Webb (Gannon), and Sarah Funk; great-grandson, Kian Webb; sister, Patricia Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, George Clark.

Funeral service will be held 12 PM, Monday, April 8, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Boulden Chapel Cemetery, Elkton, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to Tunnel to Towers, in care of Hicks Home for Funerals, P.A. at the above address.
