Patricia Kosman Obituary
Pat graduated from Fordham University with a B.A. in Theology and Sociology and later earned her nursing degree from Baystate Medical Center. She was an active member of Mensa International and demonstrated her leadership skills through her dedication to the Marriage Encounter program, where she served for over 20 years. She also shared her faith as a teacher of the Rite of Christian Initiation at Immaculate Conception Church, guiding others on their spiritual journey. Pat was a devoted caregiver to her daughter, who lives with an undiagnosed disease. Even as she herself suddenly became ill with an undiagnosed disease, Pat's strength, grace, and unwavering faith remained her foundation. She enjoyed cooking and needlework and in her final days, she continued to live out her favorite Bible verse: "A virtuous woman rejoiceth her husband, and he shall fulfil the years of his life in peace." Ecclesiasticus 26:2.
Survivors include her daughters, Christine McGarvey (Todd), Springfield, PA, and Mary Moon (Junshik), South Korea; and her granddaughter, Brigid McGarvey, affectionately known as "Little Miss".
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Joseph Kosman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Friday, March 7, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
