Betty Dillon Obituary

Betty Lou Dillon (Schmidt) of Stockton, MO passed away on Friday August 22, 2025 in Naples, FL at the age of 87.
Betty was born December 5, 1937 in Springfield, MO to Weldon and Juanita Schmidt. She went to Pipkin Jr High in Springfield, MO and Wyandotte High School in KCKS. She was married to Bill Dillon Sr. on December 8, 1956 in Miami Oklahoma.
Betty had a passion for singing. She sang in musical productions in high school and in church choirs. She especially enjoyed arts and crafts.
Betty worked in KCKS throughout her married life but found real joy in working as secretary to the sheriff (her husband Bill Dillon) of Wyandotte County KS until his retirement.
She leaves behind her four children Dale Dillon (Kimberly), Leslie Dillon Terhune (Michael), Barbara Dillon Johnson (Theodore) and Brian Dillon (Ilona). One niece Shirley Anne Gautreaux (Eddie). Two step children Bill Dillon Jr. (Debbie) and Ruthie Dillon Bettis (Randy). God daughters Linda Hobson (Alan) and Marsha Krska (Mark).
Betty has 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Her parents Weldon and Juanita Schmidt, brother William Schmidt and husband of 67 years Bill Dillon Sr. precede her in death.
A memorial service will be held for Betty on Saturday October 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St Andrew Lutheran Church Stockton, MO.
