Jerry Neil Obituary

Jerry Franklin Neil, 89, of Stockton, Missouri, peacefully entered the heavenly kingdom from the comfort of his home on November 29, 2024, slipping the bonds of his earthly body and the constraints of his wheelchair. Jerry was born on March 8, 1935, in Dunnegan, Missouri, to Harold L. Neil and Marguerite Engleman Neil, and is survived by, and loving husband to, Marilyn Bergener Neil; loyal brother to Loretta Neil Basecke, Kenneth Neil (who preceded Jerry in death), and Carol Neil Strickland; proud father to Dennis Neil, Deanna Neil, and Darren Neil; beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews; doting grandfather to nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jerry was born on a farm in Missouri, but his family moved to California while Jerry was still an infant and Jerry lived his childhood years in Los Angeles before returning to Missouri to finish high school in Nixa, Missouri. Jerry served active duty in the United States Army, stationed in Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Jerry was a devout Christian who loved God with all his heart and was eagerly anticipating the chance to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jerry and Marilyn were married on May 28, 1955, and God blessed them with nearly 70 wonderful years together.

Visitation will begin at 1pm on Wednesday, December 4th at The Hill Church, in Stockton Missouri, followed by memorial service at 2pm at The Hill Church and burial at the Stockton Cemetery.

My favorite memory with Jerry is when we all played dominoes together at their house. I will forever miss Jerry

One of my favorite memories with Jerry is the time when me and my grandma Corda and Marilyn and Jerry all played dominos at their house together. I will forever miss the man that loved and cared for me my whole life.
