Marilyn McGlathery Obituary

Marilyn Jane Weaver McGlathery, 84, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Greenfield of Spotsylvania.
Marilyn was a graduate of James Monroe High School. She also attended Mary Washington College. Before her retirement, she worked as an office manager. Marilyn was a member of Fredericksburg Baptist Church.
Marilyn experienced great joy through the companionship of the dogs, who were her pets from the time she was a girl, and for many years thereafter.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, John and Estelle (Thacker) Weaver, as well as her husband, Joseph Sidney McGlathery Sr.
She is survived by a number of cousins, including Carol (Carver) Kuty and Lynne (Carver) Seay of Fredericksburg, Marsha (Carver) Danuser of Fargo, North Dakota, and Winfred Carver of Fort Worth, Texas.
A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 28, at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are being made by Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
