Sherry Collier Obituary
She was the daughter of Deborah Thompson of Nelson County and the late Wilton Collier.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brothers, Denny and Daniel Evans; and special friends, Nancy Kaplan, Constance Ellinger and Wendy Smith.
Sherry had a zest for life that was infectious. She was always smiling, even in the face of great adversity. Sherry was a graduate of Louisa County High School. She was an active advocate for persons with intellectual disabilities including testifying before a Senate budget hearing. Sherry was active in Special Olympics and particularly loved softball, playing on a League of Their Own for several years.
She was a great inspiration and will be missed by all. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, Mineral.
Arrangements are being handled by Woodward Funeral Home in Louisa.
