Aria Massey Nicholas Willis, of Dabneys, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home on March 11, 2026. She was 97 years old. Massey was born August 6, 1928, to James and Aria Nicholas on a farm in Louisa County. She was married to Hartwell Willis, and they lived and farmed together in Louisa County for 50 years. Massey spent over twenty years as Post Mistress of the Dabneys Post Office. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and antiquing. Most importantly, she was a faithful member of Springfield Christian Church. She was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother and great- grandmother. She will be remembered for her fierce independence, her feisty sense of humor, and her tireless work ethic. Massey is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hartwell. She is survived by her son, Durwood (Jill Kelly); her daughter, Wanda Sue Willis Trexler (Bob); her grandchildren, Dakota (Aaron), Sierra (Charlie), Cole, and Mesa (Omar); and her great-grandson, Kyler. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Springfield Christian Church, Rockville, Virginia.
