Memories of kind people will last a lifetime. I knew Tommy as I grew up about 1/4 mile from him and his family at Trevillians (my dad and Gilbert were friends). One day, when I first started hunting by myself (at a rather young age), I was a little worried about getting lost, but then I ran into Tommy who was just leaving his house to hunt. Although he was 10 years older, he suggested that I tag along with him and go rabbit hunting. As a kid, having someone older that took their time to include me was priceless! I have remembered that event many times over the years. He was a good man.
You have my deepest sympathy.
