James McDaniel Obituary
Born on April 4, 1945, to Vinson and Myrtle McDaniel in Nichols, South Carolina. Proud
Vietnam veteran serving in the Navy from 1963-67 aboard the USS Higbee DDG-806.
Married to Janet Nava Jorgensen for 51 years until her death in 2024. He was an avid
outdoorsman who found his true joy in nature with a passion for hunting and fishing.
Constant tinkerer and talented folk artist who enjoyed a simple life with friends and
family.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers Bernard and Cary,
sisters Juanice, Shirley, and Barbara.
He is survived by his sons Jamie (Ginny) and
Jason (Jenn); siblings Harold (Gracie) and Linda; grandchildren Danielle (Patrick),
Nava, and Jameson; great grandchildren Heather and River.
A celebration of life will be held on April 4th 1:00pm at Fieldstone Clubhouse 3350 Elder
Field Lane, Cumming, GA 30040.
Interment will be held on a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
