Bellefonte , Pennsylvania - Joann E. Truckenmiller, 84, of Bellefonte, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. She was born on April 16, 1937 in Bellefonte, the daughter of the late Willard & Hazel Corl Corman.
On August 14, 1954 she was united in marriage to Willard Truckenmiller Jr. her husband of 67 years who survives in Bellefonte. After their marriage in 1954 they set up home in Hublersburg. In 1974 they moved to Ft. Myers, Fl. until Jr.'s retirement when they moved back to Pennsylvania.
She is survived along with her husband by four children, Diane (Jim) Heckman of Hublersburg, Ken Truckenmiller of Ft. Myers, Fl., Terry (Dani) Truckenmiller of Jasper, Fl., and Stan (Cathy) Truckenmiller of Hublersburg, a sister, Patricia (Tate) Thompson, 8 grandchildren, Jodi Snook, Kalley (Brett) Boehmer, Kyle, Kole, Chris (Lynn), Kareen and Keena Truckenmiller, Jennifer Morris (Lois), John Rhodes, and Lisa Lose, 22 great-grandchildren , Jimmy & Kirsten Snook, Logan & Lexi Cole, Landon Jordan, Michaela Truckenmiller, Layla Awad, Brock & Brady Klein, Karter Truckenmiller, Khloe & Kayden Truckenmiller, Brailey Boehmer, Tommy & Ayla Truckenmiller , Brody, Brea, Piper and Willow Truckenmiller, Ashley & Miranda, and Garett Dashem, and a great-great-granddaughter, Evelyn. She was preceded in death by two brothers Ronnie & Barry Corman and two grandchildren Kerri & Willard.
Joann was the dean of the U.C.C. church of Hublersburg Bible School, served on Alumni Assoc of Walker Twp. High School, President and secretary of Walker Twp. Fire Co. Ladies Aux., and oversaw kitchen preparations for banquets, helped organize and formed the Walker Twp., Juniorettes, president and secretary of Women's Guild of UCC Church, Hublersburg, secretary/treasurer of the Sweet Adelines in Ft. Myers, Fl. She was an accomplished singer in the Choir at UCC Church of Hublersburg, she loved to play the accordion and loved to sing. She loved to crochet, sew, watch all the grandkids play ball and play cards.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M at the Trinity Reformed Church 355 Hulbersburg Rd., Bellefonte . with pastor Keith Koch officiating. Friends will be received at the church for 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at Hublersburg Cemetery.
