Violet Mae Smeal Voinchet

Violet Mae Smeal Voinchet January 10, 1938- December 29, 2007 Violet Mae Smeal Voinchet, 69, of Lanse, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield after a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 10, 1938, in Yarnell, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy and Sylvester Smeal, of Wallaceton. Violet graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School in 1956. On June 29, 1957, she married M. Franklin Voinchet, of Frenchville. Violet and her husband resided in Lanse for most of their married life. Frank and Violet celebrated their 50th anniversary in June with their family. Violet was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Violet is survived by her four children, Susan Crosby, of Lakeland, Fla., Mark Voinchet, of Wallaceton, Laurie Voinchet, of State College, and Michael Voinchet, and his wife, Dawn, of Newton, N.J.; three grandchildren, Sgt. Christopher Coover, Jennifer Coover, of Osceola Mills, and Jessica Coover, of Lakeland, Fla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ada Smeal Dillon and Leona Smeal; and a niece, Vickie Dillon. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Johnson Funeral Home, 4567 Kylertown/Drifting Highway, Grassflat. The funeral will be held at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at the funeral home, with Deacon Joseph Lyncha officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Frenchville.
