Adam Kijewski Obituary

Adam Christopher Kijewski
BELMONT -- Adam, 21, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on March 24, 2006, at Presbyterian Harris Hospice Center.
He was born on November 29, 1984 in Plainfield, NJ. Adam was the husband of Devon Kijewski and the son of Karen Kijewski, of Belmont, and Edward Kijewski, Sr. of Richmond, VA. He graduated from Comineus School of Creative Leadership in 2003 and was attending Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, studying music. Because of his love for the Lord and music, most of Adam's time was spent writing and performing, which lead to the creation of and participation in numerous Christian rock bands. He was a loving husband, son, brother and friend, whose kindness touched and changed many people's lives. Adam's presence here on earth will be missed, but his spirit will continue in our hearts.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his two brothers, Edward Jr. Kijewski and wife, Vanessa, Stephen Kijewski; sister, Jessika Kijewski; and niece, Ava Kijewski. He was the grandson of John and Sylvia Miller of Virgina, and Wanda Kijewski of New Jersey. He had eleven aunts, nine uncles, and also 30 cousins.
Family and friends will celebrate Adam's life on April 1, 2006 at 3 PM in the church of MorningStar Fellowship in Fort Mill, SC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Adam's name to Blume Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic, 1712 E. 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
The Kijewski family is in the care of Gaskin Services, Matthews, www.gaskinservices.com.

Adam was a special guy who I was lucky enough to see grow into a man. He was a gentle soul who had a lot of outstanding qualities, the most important was standing out and up for the Lord. I was lucky enough to be part of this family and thank God for that every day.

Thank you so much for being our neighbor. You accomplished a lot in your life. Most memorable to me is your guitar playing. Thank you for the help that you and Devon gave to the little bird that wandered into our driveway.

God speed, Adam.
