Ms. Shore was an amazing field hockey coach. Hands down she was the best coach I have ever had the honor of playing for her. She was a positive influence in my life as well as in the lives of so many young girls at Colton High. She was always kind and positive; she motivated us to do our best both on and off the field. She was instrumental in me attending San Jose State to play field hockey and receive my degree. I will be forever grateful for her giving me that opportunity. Rest in peace Ms. Shore, heaven just got a little brighter. She will be missed. My deepest condolences to Ms. Neafsey and to Ms. Shore's family.

Allene left an indelible imprint on the lives of so many - especially her Colton High School field hockey team members for whom she was the epitome of all the best characteristics a coach embodies and exhibits. When I joined the CHS staff in 1983, Allene's warm Southern hospitality welcomed me into the fold. She and Elinor Neafsey were the impetus for bringing the staff together to have fun - and what memories we all cherish of those times. My condolences to the entire Shore family, and especially Elinor. Allene leaves a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten. Allene Shore made a difference.

Ms. Shore is by far, one of the greatest influences I have had in my life. She coached with extreme patients and for that, I have extended her teaching and coaching style to my coaching style. Thank you for being such a great role model to myself and so many others. Coach left behind a legacy at Colton High School, one that only the field hockey players can stand proud with when talking about Coach Shore. You will be greatly missed. The Lord once again, has chosen one of the great ones to be an angel in his heavens.

Such good times we had as counselors at Camp Farwell in Vermont. We were both in our early twenties. You said you were my "little ole southerner". I was a Connecticut yankee. I send sympathy to your caring brother, Gerald.

For those who loved who I came to know and respect as Ms. Shore, I would like to share that she was a very bright light in my life as my Field Hockey Coach. Ms. Shore had a twinkle in her eye of joy, but beyond the excitement I felt to be accepted as a part of her Field Hockey tribe, she represented unspoken, rooted healthy power. Our team loved her dearly and she will be missed. May her home going be sweet and her loved one's be comforted at this time.
