'Andy'
Mr. Crowder, 55, died at his residence on Wednesday, February 9, 2011.
A Charlotte native, Mr. Crowder was born August 8, 1955, a son of Sidney Lee Crowder of Charlotte, NC and the late Otis P. Crowder. Andy attended school in Charlotte, NC and studied computer science at CPCC. He worked in a variety of jobs including construction and computer programming. Mr. Crowder enjoyed helping in the community, working with the Jeshua Outreach Ministry, doing mission work repairing homes and gardening. Andy also tutored students at Rama Elementary School and worked to help the homeless. He was a member of Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church and also attended Sardis Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his sister, Susan Crowder Greene and husband, Mike; brother, Otis A. Crowder and wife, Christine all of Charlotte, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011, in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will have a reception following the service at the home of his mother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
