Barry Kravitz Obituary
His family and friends knew him as a welcoming, kind-hearted "Mr. Miyagi," and a collector of all things, who was always so passionate. Steve was best known for his love for his family and the Carolina Panthers. He was a PSL owner, prize-winning golfer and the heart and soul of his family.
He was a comic book aficionado, a sports encyclopedia and always the best person to go to for advice. He loved to coach people on succeeding in life and was a true mentor who welcomed everyone.
He is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart of 34 years, Suzy; daughters, Kristyn Kravitz, Stephanie (Matt) Barker and Tammy (Thomas) Snodgrass; sisters, Helen (Alan) Kass and Michelle (Jeff) Haas; brothers, Mark Kravitz and Scott Kravitz; and many nieces and nephews. Steve is also survived by his adored pets, Miya (Jack Russell Terrier) and Rocco (Maltese).
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Heritage Funeral Home-Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr., Matthews, NC. The family will receive guests for a viewing beginning at 1:00pm, followed by the memorial service starting at 3:00pm. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
