Carlie Shaird Obituary

Carlie Mouzon Shaird
Mrs. Shaird, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at CMC-Main with family at her side.
Mrs. Shaird was born in Kingstree, SC on June 21, 1926 to the late Willie and Asalee Mouzon. Mrs. Shaird was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Shaird, Sr.
She is survived by four sons Thomas Shaird, Jr., of Columbia, SC, Leroy Shaird, John Shaird, Eddie Shaird of Charlotte; four daughters; Virginia Bowie (Kevin), Marie Shaird, Hazel Burton (Ralph), Sylvia Connor, all of Charlotte; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother Robert Mouzon of New York; one first cousin Janie Dozier of Kingstree, SC; and one sister-in-law Virginia Shaird of Chicago.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Greater Galilee Baptist Church, 501 West Park Ave. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
A.E. Grier & Sons, 2310 Statesville Ave. is serving the family.
