Charlotte, North Carolina - Cathy Luckey Johnson, age 69, died peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2021, after a long illness. Cathy was born in Charlotte to the late Brooks and Margaret Luckey. She left her mark on the people who knew her in so many ways, but will especially be remembered for her big heart, sly sense of humor and colorful spirit. Cathy is survived by her daughter, Carrie Rodgers (Patrick) of Valatie, NY; brothers Michael B. Luckey (Patricia), R. Stephen Luckey (Janice) and K. Patrick Luckey (Wanda); nieces and nephews Julie Brandenburg, Jillian Crosby, Blakely Mack Lizotte, Robert Luckey, Hayley Mack, David Luckey and Travis Luckey; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to extend its gratitude to Hospice for their attentive and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28226.
