Charlie was one incredible brother! I think back on the times when I was a young girl playing sports, he was one of my biggest cheerleaders. He encourage me to train hard, be the best and give my all. He was always praising my efforts in everything that I did. When I left the military to start my business, he encouraged me the most. I will never forget the day I went to visit him, he showed me a video that he created about me. He had captured every article, interview and posting about me. He said that he often shared this when people would come to visit him. He told me that he was so inspired by me, but most importantly proud. I have missed our talks, our laughs and his powerful words of encouragement. So I often take time to thank God for giving him to me as a brother. You are truly miss my good brother.

Oh Charlie, I just found out. You were always so kind and the brightest light. My heart is broken. It was an honor to have walked with you in life when I did. Praying for your sweet wife now. I love and miss y'all so much.

I was blessed to call Mr. Charlie a friend while I worked as a preschool music teacher at Calvary Child Development Center. Although the type of music we each played was very different, he always talked to me about music and made me feel like we were both musicians! His legacy will live on through the hundreds of lives he touched at Calvary!
