My mother called me this morning to tell me she saw Daryl's obituary. I met Daryl and Teresa through my parents when my wife and I first moved to the Charlotte area. Initially, it was a purely professional relationship. I was a contractor at the time and they were my first clients in Charlotte. It really didn't take long at all for Wendy and I to become acquaintances and then friends with Daryl and Teresa. It was clear to us almost immediately that these were special people and I probably don't have enough space in this forum to relay how much they both have impacted our lives. Over time, we didn't stay in touch nearly as much as we should have. Life has a way of getting in the way. But I have great memories of Daryl - his charm, his unbelievable intelligence, his 'idiosyncracies' and his great sense of humor about them. Daryl will be missed, and he definitely will always hold a special place in our hearts. Love to Teresa and family.
