Elizabeth Lee Morrison
CONCORD -- Miss Morrison, 31, of Poplar Tent Road, died Sunday, October 24, 2004 in Stuart County, VA enrout to a NASCAR event in Martinsville, VA. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Harrisburg United Methodist Church, Rev. Dan Hester officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
Miss Morrison was born April 2, 1973 in Cabarrus County. She graduated Central Cabarrus High School in 1991 and was also a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. She was a member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church, and was employed with Hendrick Motorsports.
Survivors are her father, Richard M. Morrison, Sr. of Harrisburg, NC; her mother and her husband, Barbara Lee Schmidt and John of Ormond Beach, FL; loving friend, Jim Tobias; brother, Richard M. Morrison, Jr. and his wife Anna of Harrisburg; step brothers, Mike Schmidt and wife Regan of Raleigh and John Schmidt IV of Charlotte; grandmother, Mrs. Ethel R. Lee of Kannapolis; uncle, Bob Morrison of Concord; aunt, Glenda Eudy and husband Clint of Greensboro; and her cat, 'Gizmo.' She was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Morrison and Glenn Lee, and brother, William Glenn Morrison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Harrisburg United Methodist Church Building Fund, 4560 NC Hwy 49 S, or to Embry-Riddle University, Office of Development, 600 South Clyde Morris Boulevard, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.

to Elizabeth's family...I was a teacher at Central Cabarrus during the late 80's and early 90's and taught Elizabeth. She was, even then, radiantly beautiful, confident, and self-assured.
