Ellen Piemont Obituary
Ellen was known and loved for her gentle kindness and beautiful spirit. She was a creative thinker who avidly read literature and loved poetry especially, adored all kinds of music, and always supported and explored the arts. Her intelligence astounded those who were fortunate enough to have known her, yet her humility was equally as remarkable. She had a sharp wit and a keen sense of humor. She was able to find beauty in anyone and anything, and always forgave and looked for the best in others. Her example quietly inspired everyone around her to do the same. Ellen was a beloved mother and best friend to her daughters.
Ellen is preceded in death by her father, Robert Kramer, of New York, NY. Ellen is survived by her husband, Joe Piemont, her daughters, Lauren and Erin Piemont, her mother, Joan Kramer, her brother, Stephen Kramer, her sister, Carolyn Tillman. We are all better for having known and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Myers Park Presbyterian Church, 2501 Oxford Place, Charlotte, NC, 28207. A reception will follow in Oxford Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ellen's memory to Urban Ministry Center, 945 N. College Street, Charlotte, NC, 28206, www.urbanministrycenter.org.

I just learned of Ellen's death and am so sorry for your loss. While I didn't know Ellen well, we were casual friends through CCDS for a number of years. Ellen seemed to have such a gentle and kind spirit and was just lovely. I know she will be missed by so many and please know that you are in our prayers! Sending lots of love and peace. Dear Joe, Lauren and Erin,
Laura and I are so sorry for your loss. We know that Ellen was proud of her family and lookling forward to all the great accomplishments her Family would make. I happened to be reading lately about Chares Fhroman who's last words before the Lusitania sunk were "Why fear death? it is the most beautiful adventure in life."

The Kramers were neighbors for years in BWE. What a beautifully written obituary. While I had not spoken to Ellen in years, this perfectly captures the Ellen from Rebel Dr. I knew. May the outpouring of love comfort the Kramer and Piemont family today and well into the future.
