Eloise Ingold Pope
WADESBORO -- Mrs. Pope, 79, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3rd at First Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Senter officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends tonight, Friday, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home.
Eloise was born in Anson County, NC, December 6, 1927, a daughter of the late Rufus Little and Glennie Davis Ingold. She was a retired bookkeeper and secretary, having worked at John Faulkner Motor Company and later retiring from First Baptist Church, Wadesboro.
A devoted member of First Baptist Church, she was a deacon and past president of the Women's Missionary Union and was a member of the Down To Earth Garden Club, serving as past president.
Surviving are her husband, Reece Pope of the home; her children, Lorraine Pope Miller and husband, Bob of Troy, Jeanette Pope Aldridge and husband, Donnie of Ansonville and Eddie Pope and wife, Cindi of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Lora Lee Reid and husband, John of Asheboro, Chris Hildreth and wife, Misty of Troy, Rhonda Sessions and husband, Marc of Wadesboro, Dale Jarman and wife, Cindy of New Hill, Jonathan Pope of Durham and Lisa Pope of Wilmington; great grandchildren, Marci, Jake and Stetson Sessions, Allee and Bryson Reid, Taylor and Sarah Hildreth and Lacy Jarman.
Also surviving are her brother, R.L. Ingold and wife, Patsy of Charlotte; 6 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
The arrangements are in the care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
