Holly Pope Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martin & Hightower Funeral Home - Carrollton on Mar. 29, 2026.
Dr. Holly D. Pope (Williams), 46, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away surrounded by love.

Holly was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend whose beautiful smile and contagious laugh could light up any room. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to others.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Pope, and her cherished daughter, Payton Pope. She is also survived by her mother and bonus father, Tresa and Terry Hulsey; her in-laws, Charles and Penny Pope; her sister and sister-in-law, Heather Williams and Paula Hall; her bonus brothers, Ben (Heather) Hulsey and Levi (Amanda) Hulsey; five nephews and one niece; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her lifelong best friend, Jana Murphy Pate.

Holly was preceded in death by her father, Joey Williams; her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Jerlean Morris; and her paternal grandparents, Sanford and Nellie Jo Williams.

Holly dedicated her life to education and the success of others. A passionate and accomplished educator, she earned her Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate of Education, always striving to learn more and give more. She spent many years teaching and was deeply loved and respected by both her students and colleagues. Through her work tutoring students in math, she helped countless individuals succeed and graduate-changing lives in ways that will never be forgotten.

She later continued her impact through her work with McGraw-Hill Education, where she designed college courses for universities and colleges across the United States, leaving a lasting legacy in education.

In her free time, Holly found peace and joy in nature. Whether at the beach or in the mountains, she loved the sun, sand, waves, and sunsets-simple moments that brought her great happiness and that those who loved her will always remember.

Above all, Holly was devoted to her family. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly, and that love will continue to live on in all who knew her.

The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Holly's life on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Midway Church with Pastor Conner Moon and Pastor Josh Sticher officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens with Bryan Cole, Layton Williams, Ben Hulsey, Levi Hulsey, Josh Huckeba, and Corey Coker serving as pallbearers.
