I am also Georgia Lucas and I am compiling stories from cancer victims or their caregivers to be made into a book about cancer, the struggles, heartaches, and hope made possible by one's faith, family, and friends. Profits will go to the American Cancer Society. Would the family of Georgia W. Lucas like to contibute a page in her memory? Prose and poetry accepted.

I knew Georgia when we were kids. We played a lot together.
I lost track of her when I went to college and was saddened to read of her passing.
What is interesting was when I saw her picture, I knew it was her without even reading her name. The mind remembers kind faces.
Please accept my condolences.

Bob, I was so saddened to hear of Georgia's passing. I'll always remember her endearing smile that lit up a room much larger than that little engraving room in the back of the Galls building on Palumbo. I know Georgia was your soul mate so I know facing tomorrow and the days ahead may seem unbearable. Know that she is in a much better place, without pain and waiting to reunite with you in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Bob, JoAnn and Amanda, What a happy little character Georgia was! Her loving heart and devotion to her friends has given me an example to follow. The bravery and positive attitude she exhibited in her fight against cancer was heroic. I'll miss just knowing she is in our world each and every day. Love to each of you. M.L.

Bob and family,
I'm so sorry. I just found out this morning from mother (Paula Rodgers). Georgia was always so much fun when she babysat me (when we lived in Lexington) and I truly loved spending time with her. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
