Hazel Stevens Obituary

Hazel McNeely Stevens
MOORESVILLE -- Mrs. Stevens, 80, of 125 Manall Ct., died December 17, 2004 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 20, at First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville, with Dr. Fred Coates officiating. The family will be at the residence. The family will be headquartered at the residence, 125 Manall Court, Mooresville.
Mrs. Stevens was born April 5, 1924 in Rowan County, NC, a daughter of the late Henry Albert McNeely and Alice Litaker McNeely. She was a registered nurse serving her internship at John Hopkins and later employed at Lowrance Hospital for many years. She later worked at Brian Center of Mooresville. Mrs. Stevens was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville. She was educated at China Grove High School and the Lowrance School of Nursing.
Survivors include her sons, Bennett Stevens and wife, Tamara, of Mooresville, and David McNeely Stevens of the home; daughters, Judy Stevens Garnett and husband, William, of Charlotte, and Kathryn Stevens Briner and husband, Jeff, of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Jason Stevens, Wesley Stevens and wife, Yoko, of Mooresville, Kimberly Garnett of Charlotte, and William Ulrich Aven of Tennessee; brother, Reid McNeely of Gastonia; sister, Pauline McNeely Baker of Concord; two great granddaughters; and one great grandson.
Memorials may be made to the Flower Fund of First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville, 249 West McLelland Avenue, Mooresville, NC 28115.
Whitley's Funeral Home is in charge.
