Pete and Beverly, we are still remember Jake and we're still so very sorry for all the pain in losing your precious son. We love Jake and know how deeply you will miss him. We have been praying for the Lord to hold you in His arms and comfort you during your grief. Jake is a wonderful, delightful young man, who we all enjoyed. In heaven he can train in martial arts with out getting tired or sore, because his heavenly body will not wear out. And the mats are softer than here...I can only imagine.
God bless you and comfort your hearts.
Love,
Debbie and CAJA

To the Briggs Family,

We were all deeply saddened to learn of Jake's passing. Kevin and I enjoyed watching him wrestle in AAU, as his passion for the sport was obvious. My son, Jacob, will miss him during wrestling season and my son, Caleb, will miss not seeing and talking to him at JiuJitsu. May faith in God and your precious memories of Jake sustain you and keep you.

Briggs Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear of Jake's death. He was a great kid to have in class and I really enjoyed our daily conversations about everything from music to the coincidence of having grown up with his older sister. You have and will continue to be in my thoughts. I will miss seeing his face at Butler very much.

Mr. and Mrs. Briggs and Lee,
I remember Jake so well from preschool through his last year at Matthews Elementary. He was such a kind and accepting boy, and I know from reading all the entries in this guest book that he grew into a wonderful young man. May God give you the comfort of knowing that Jake is whole now and you will see him again.

Mr. and Mrs. Briggs and Lee,

I remember Jake from my Kindergarten class at Matthews Elementary. I have kept up with his wrestling accomplishments through my children at Butler. The last time I saw him, a few months ago, I noticed how mature and what a nice young man he had become. Know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers and that Jake holds a special place in my heart.

Mr. and Mrs. Briggs and Lee,
I was and am filled with sadness at learning of Jake's death. I am grateful to have known him from the time he fell off the monkey bars while visiting Lee at recess, to watching him cross the stage at DARE graduation, to random visits when seeing him around town. Jake was easy and eager to talk with...always a pleasure. A gentle-man, he will be missed. Please know that you are all in my prayers.

Jake was an awesome young man. His strong work ethic would carry him far. I had the privilege of being one of his instructors in Taekwondo Martial Arts. Jake always brought with him all the things he was involved in. He talked about them and was always anxious to share his knowledge. Jake was raised to be respectful, and it showed in his attitude and how he treated others. I will forever miss his infectious smile.
