I will always keep the memories of our days together at 3M as we tried to conquer the world. He was a true Southern Gentleman who adored his family and will watch over both of you for ever. Jim was a true southern gentlemen. I respected his industry knowledge and his energy and enthusiasm were contagious. I will miss his travel stories with BoBo and of how proud he was of his wife and daughter. Such a proud husband and father I have never seen. For those of us lucky to have known Jim, he will always be remembered.

Jim Corbett was the Mayor of the Trinity Pres Charlotte Latin Bus stop . He knew every parent and child who got on the bus in the morning and made all welcome and the morning drop off something to look forward to . I saw him often at the neighborhood Harris Teeter and we always had a great visit talking USC Football (which was fun for me as a Tiger fan ) but as the obit said - consummate Southern Gentleman. Jim will be missed for sure .

I would like to express my deepest condolences. Jim was such a huge supporter of the Myers Park library. He made many contributions impacting library customers especially children and staff. I will always remember the many conversations we had about the latest history book he'd read. We loved him and he will be missed.

To the Corbett family my condolences. I worked with Jim at 2 different companies over a period of 12 years and stayed in touch with him over the last 9 years after I left the company where we both worked. He always talked about his family and dogs and of course history. We talked politics and even though we were of different political beliefs he was always a true gentleman when we would debate politics. While I am saddened by his passing I will celebrate his life and what a unique kind friend he was and will miss him dearly.
