Janice Massey Taylor
Mrs. Taylor, 84, of Wills Point, Texas , formerly of Charlotte passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Free State Crestwood Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held on Monday August 11, 2008 at 10am at the Evergreen City Cemetery, Charlotte.
Martha Janice Massey was born on February 25, 1924 in Edgewood TX to Martha Jeff Cartwright and George L. Massey and raised by her grandparents Thomas Jefferson Cartwright and Mable Clapp Cartwright. Janice married Jack Taylor of Milano TX on June 11, 1942 and was happily married until Jack passed on October 8, 1998 in Charlotte. A Charlotte resident since 1951, Janice had been employed with H&R Block as a tax preparer and teacher for 20+ years. Janice was a baptized christian and was a member of Providence Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include her two sons, Jan Alan Taylor of Charlotte, Jeff Cartwright Taylor of Mount Airy MD; her two granddaughters, Alisha Kay Taylor of Boston MA and Grace Isabella Taylor of Mount Airy MD; sister Lady Collins Mohr, brother Tom Jeff Massey, both of Dallas TX.
Memorials may be made to Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research, One Intrepid Square, West 46th St. & 12th Ave., New York NY 10036.
