Jeremy Jackson Obituary
Today we celebrate the life of Jeremy Edward Jackson who died at home on Friday, August 3, 2007. He has gone to be with his Heavenly Father. Jeremy was born in Charlotte, NC on February 26, 1983. The Family will be receiving friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, August 5 at Hankins & Whittington, Funeral services will at 11:00 AM Monday, August 6 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry Lee Jackson and Anita Jackson; his brother, Jason Jackson and his fiancee, Nicole Halbleib; grandmothers, Olivene Webb and Mary Jackson; aunts and uncles, Lynn and Gary Dixon of Marvin, NC, Gail and Greg Barksdale of Marion, NC, Robin & Bob Propst of Clemmons, NC; cousins, Kristi Davis, Brent Propst, Sarah Barksdale and Alexis Barksdale.

My man Jcool I found out that you passed away 2days before your would be 25 birthday. I remember me and you use to talk about life. You use to tell me how much you love Nicole. And how y'all was gone rent a house from her family.And you was gone start your pressure washing business.Thats way you got that white F150.It hurt me to my soul to know that you passed one day before my twenty fifth birthday. 8/3/07 you left this earth to join our father.I wish he would have gave us more time to be with his child .I will never forget you my friend. Larry and I were stunned to learn of Jeremy's death in the Pleasant Grove newsletter.
We pray that you are being sustained by all of the love which is being extended to you. Our prayers and concern will be blending with all of the others.
All of you are so dear to us. I was telling Larry last night of my first memories of Mary and Newton in their home on Peachtree Road. I well remember the overwhelming joy when Jerry came along. And, I have equally special memories of Olivene and the rest of you.

Although I did not know Jeremy and only knew of Jeremy's Dad, I can only offer my deepest prayers for you and your family. On Friday,August 3, 2007, I helped the Police Officers find you, as they only knew you worked for the Postal Service on Sunset Road. I was at the only Post Office they knew of on Sunset and offer the only assistance I knew to do. My heart started aching long before you told me your precious child is now in heaven. I pray for understanding, peace, and solace for you and your entire immediate and extended family.

I was so sorry to hear about Jeremy. I never met him, but I have heard what a wonderful, kind person he was and I know you must all be in such pain right now. One thing we were always taught at Pleasant Grove, is that there is a better place for us when we leave this world. Dearest Jackson Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Jeremy's passing. I can not begin to imagine the sorrow that you must feel. I have never lost a child but I have lost my Dad. My Dad passed away last November and there hasn't been a single day since that I have not missed him. I cannot tell you that it will get easier as I don't think that it ever does, but we have to go on; for family and friends, as they need us too.
Take it one day at a time and on the days that you may feel that you are too weak to walk, the Lord will carry you! He will always be there even on the days when you would rather push him away because you are so angry and hurt.
Not only is Jeremy with our Lord but he is up there with my Daddy too and I know without a doubt that he is in good hands!
Jeremy was such a sweet, sweet, kind soul. He loved his family dearly and talked about you all the time! Jeremy always made me laugh and he was such a GREAT friend! I will miss him terribly!!! I will continue to pray each day for your family. God Bless You!
