Following retirement from UNCC in 1989, Jerry worked for Hechinger's and then moved to Richmond, VA for a short time before returning to Charlotte where he worked with WalMart.
A memorial service will be held today, Friday, July 1, 2005 at 7:00 PM at Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center with Chaplain Pressley Stutts of the United States Marine Corps officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
