Jimmy Horne Obituary

POLKTON -- Mr. Jimmy Rogers Horne, Sr., 72, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at Union Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service is 11 AM Saturday, October 19, at the Chapel of Morgan and Son Funeral Home, with Reverend Tony High officiating. Interment will be in Peachland City Cemetery, Peachland, NC. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 PM at Morgan and Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Horne was born in Anson County, and was a retired supervisor with Raybestos. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Virginia F. Horne of Polkton; son, Jimmy Horne, Jr. of Peachland; daughters, Debra Barrier of Raleigh and Donna McDermott of Mint Hill; step-sons, Larry Thomas of Vidalia, GA, Richard Thomas of Johnson Corner, GA, Kenneth Thomas of Vidalia, GA, Phillip Thomas of Lancaster, SC; brothers, Charles Horne of Charlotte and Glenn Horne of Sherrills Ford, NC; sisters, Ellie Collins of Marshville and Mattie Cole of Lockport, NY; caregiver, Larry Smith of Morven; four grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; and one step great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Peachland, NC.
Morgan and Son Funeral Home is serving the Horne family.

I am a staff member with the CAP Office at Anson Community Hospital. I was so very sorry to hear of Mr. Horne's passing. He was a dear, sweet person. You have my love and sympathy at this time. God bless you all in a very special way.
